Model of wideband RF short-distance locator

This paper describes a full-scale model of wideband RF short-distance locator dedicated for high-speed objects detection at short distance. This compact model has been designed using discrete components in order to verify some schematic solutions. Basic model parameters are the following: carrier frequency is 9.83 GHz, maximum output power of transmitter is 3.5 mW, and distance operating range is 2-10 m. Obtained model parameters and schematic solutions have been used in development of test submicron application specific Integrated Circuit (IC) for wideband RF short-distance locator.
